School Based Part-time Apprenticeship Provisions in NSW Awards

Issued: 31 January 2007

The NSW Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) has approved the variation of over 50 NSW private and public sector awards in priority industries to include provisions for school based part-time apprenticeships. This includes awards in the construction, electrical and plumbing industries.

All NSW award variations are in effect for the start of the 2007 school year on 29 January 2007.
