The guide to apprenticeships and traineeships in NSW has been revised to incorporate changes following the introduction of the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2001, which came into effect from 01 January 2002. It highlights key information for employers, apprentices and trainees about their roles and responsibilities under the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2001. It also acknowledges the pivotal role employers play in training apprentices and trainees.
The guide sets out the administrative requirements relating to the Apprenticeship/Traineeship Contract of Training between the employer and their apprentice or trainee. Further, this guide supports our commitment to continue to streamline the administrative process for our customers to provide a quality service.
