Please Note: that employers including group training companies may have their own Award, Federal Certified Agreement, NSW Enterprise Agreement or Australian Workplace Agreement.

Award Employer Associations Unions

The National Training Wage Award provides for school based part-time traineeships where the employer is a member of the:

  • Australian Industry Group (formerly known as Metal Trades Industry Association and Australian Chamber of Manufacturers); or
  • General Aviation Association (Australia)

AND the employer is also bound by a Federal Award (ie. the work is covered by a Federal Award). That award would apply to the trainees for all other conditions of employment.

Where an employer is not a member of the above employer associations, no appropriate State Award provides for school based part-time traineeships.
