The National Training Wage Award provides for school based part-time traineeships where the employer is a member of the:
- Australian Industry Group (formerly known as Metal Trades Industry Association and Australian Chamber of Manufacturers); or
- General Aviation Association (Australia)
AND the employer is also bound by a Federal Award (ie. the work is covered by a Federal Award). That award would apply to the trainees for all other conditions of employment.
Where an employer is not a member of the above employer associations, no appropriate State Award provides for school based part-time traineeships. |
